Okay so I've been following Kyle and Lily's story from the beginning. And I've loved every moment of it. They've had so many emotions and obstacles and everything else from the outside world thrown at them. Will they finally be able to settle down and focus on them? Or will something else work to tear them apart? So at the end of the 2nd book things were kind of tied up for the most part and ready for Kyle and Lily to move to the next chapter of their lives. So with this book I was curious what we were going to learn about Kyle and Lily. So Kyle has a past. We've learned a little bit about that from the 2nd book and in this one Lily presses him about it. He pushed her to open up, yet doesn't want to do the same in return. I can't image the things he had to have seen or done, but still at some point he's going to have to face those demons...he can't just keep burying them.
This book's focus is on the relationship and relocation and living together and just trying to find a way to make everything work. Lily and Abbey become very close in this book and I love their relationship. I also love the set up for the next book with Abbey and a special someone *wink wink* can't wait to read that. But back to Kyle and Lily. Kyle finally opens up about his military past with Lily and the question becomes will she be able to accept it and move on and continue developing this strong loving relationship with Kyle? Or will his past destroy them? You'll have to read to find out. For me this book tied up a lot for these two and I was left satisfied and ready to move on and love more of the new characters we met.
