Right now, I just want Cav. I might still want to kill him later, but not right this moment. I suck his finger into my mouth, laving it with my tongue and lips and dragging lightly down it with my teeth. As we hurtle down the runway, I make promises to him with my eyes. Take the restraints off or don’t; I’m still going to want you. Cav reaches out with his other hand and cups my breast, covered only by the soft material of my thin T-shirt. Chill bumps prickle along my skin when his fingers close around my nipple and twist. A moan escapes my lips, and I press into his touch. We say nothing until the captain announces that we’ve reached our cruising altitude. Cav removes his seat belt and mine before hauling me back onto his lap. “Jesus Christ, woman. Feel what you did to me.” He presses his hips up and against me, and I wiggle my ass against his cock’s solid length. “I want it.” “Good, because I’m going to lower you onto your knees, unzip my pants, and help you take it down your throat. And then I’m going to lift you up on my lap and slide your pussy down my cock until you’re full of me.” His dirty talk kills me every time. “What are you waiting for?” I ask, my tone taking on a seductive depth. “Need to taste you again first.” His lips crush to mine, and his tongue dives inside without waiting for invitation. Cav kisses like he does everything else—throwing his whole self into it. His hand is buried in my hair, tilting my head the way he likes. I moan into his mouth, loving the urgency radiating from him. Finally, he pulls my head back, his eyes greener than before. “On your knees, baby girl.” I nod as he helps me to the floor, the plush carpeting cushioning my position. Cav unzips his jeans and fists his cock as he pulls it out. As I lean forward, my hair falls around my face, but with my bound hands, I’m helpless to pull it back. Cav wraps one hand around the tangled strands and clenches it behind my head. I’m at his mercy, and yet I’ve never felt more powerful. The need in his eyes burns into me, and I want to give as much as I want to take.

     dirty duet 3

Desperately seeking rich, famous, single guy with a giant cock to make my lying, cheating, should’ve-been-born-dickless ex-boyfriend realize what he’s just lost.

Oh, and I give great head. Just sayin’.

Except thousands did.

My name is Greer Karas, and I should never be allowed near another bottle of booze again. Because when I drink, my friend and I do stupid things. Like take a page out of my older brother Creighton’s playbook and post something completely asinine on the Internet. Waking up with a giant hangover to find my humiliating personal ad has gone viral is not my finest moment.

DG AMAZONCue my look of shock when one of Hollywood’s hottest new bad boys, Cavanaugh Westman, comes knocking at my door and drops his pants to prove that he does indeed have a giant cock.

What he doesn’t have is an explanation for why he disappeared from my life without a word three years ago, only to show up on the big screen two years later, killing bad guys in action flicks.

And now he wants me again.

What the hell do I do now?

Darsh pushed through the crowd of spectators who lingered despite the lateness of the hour and the sub-zero temps. He hoped someone here had the smarts to photograph the onlookers in addition to the crime scene. Killers often came back to observe the chaos they wrought. It was all part of the thrill. Unlike most fictional killers and rapists, the real life versions were generally as smart as a thumbtack. He flashed his creds at the police officer manning the outer perimeter and ducked under the tape. “Agent Singh. FBI. I need to speak to whoever’s in charge.” “You’re FBI?” He ignored the skepticism. “That’s what they told me when I graduated the academy.” He pocketed his gold shield as the officer shouted to one of her colleagues before leading him to the two-story clapboard house surroundded by yellow crime scene tape. “Sorry.” The rookie was flustered. A dark blush worked its way into her cheeks and matched her cold-looking nose. “I wasn’t expecting a fed to show up.” Darsh signed his name on the log, put paper covers over his boots, latex gloves on his hands, and walked into the house. It was just as cold inside—front and back doors were wide open. At least it would slow decomposition. The rookie button-hooked a right and walked up to a blonde who wore a gray pantsuit beneath a black parka with a fur-lined hood. The blonde had her head down but seemed vaguely familiar. She looked up, and a pair of smoky blue eyes collided with his. Every neuron in his body sparked to life as recognition slammed into his gut. Her pupils dilated, but apart from that, she betrayed no visible reaction. Fuck.               There was no smile. No “Hey, how’re ya doin’?” But then their last encounter had been conducted under very different circumstances. Horizontal. Naked. Panting.”

Before that night, Addison Millan had been just a college dropout secretly raising her two young siblings in a beat-up minivan she’d bought with her first semester’s tuition refund—the only money her addict mother hadn’t taken off with when she’d abandoned them the year prior. Before that night, Caine Spencer had been just a rough, gruff cop sent to check out the phoned-in claims of suspected child neglect involving the same woman he’d met a month ago when she’d first served him the city’s worst diner coffee...which he’d been drinking daily ever since. Before that night, Addison would never have thought the man she’d been fighting hard not to fall for—her only friend in her new shadow of a life—would be in a position to rip her family apart. Before that night, Caine would never have believed any woman could make him fall head over heels, let alone make him feel so damn compelled to look the other way when it came to his job. Then that one perfect night changed everything. BEFORE THAT NIGHT (Book 1) chronicles the destiny-altering events that take place seven years prior to EVERY NIGHT WITHOUT YOU (Book 2), Caine & Addison’s emotional story of love, sacrifice, and the lengths one will run—and chase—when their past threatens their future.

Christ, she just kept getting sweeter every day. When Addison rounded the counter and hopped up onto the empty stool next to him so she could stick up another collage of carefully cut, colored, and glittered Easter eggs on the wall, Caine felt his brain blitz out for a second or two.  The woman was a petite little thing, but she had curves for days.  And that perfect hourglass figure of hers was currently inches from his face. Good lord. “So you don’t think your brother’s making a good business decision?” she asked him quizzically as she wobbled a bit to try and reach a spot about a foot beyond her reach. His hands shot out to grab her waist and steady her. What in the world were they talking about again? “Thanks.  I’m good now.”  She finished taping up the eggs and blushed from the apples of her cheeks to the tips of her ears when he picked her up off the stool and gently settled her down on the ground.  “Um, yeah.  Again, thanks for the assist.”  Quick as a skittish kitten, she scurry-shuffled back behind the counter. Meanwhile, Caine felt like his entire body was drifting in slow-motion—his brain especially, which was taking its sweet time un-fuzzing.  Jesus, she’d felt good in his arms.

Release Day Blitz: Empire by Rachel Van Dyken

Empire 0 days

empire smash cover art

I have lost everything. My purpose My love My soul Death knocks on my door, I want to answer, but every time I reach for the handle -- the promise I made her brings me back. So I breathe. I live. I hate. And I allow the anger to oil beneath the surface of a perfectly indifferent facade. I am broken, I don't want to be fixed. But the Empire is crumbling and it's my job to fix it. My job to mend the pieces that were scattered over thirty years ago. A trip to New York, only one chance to redeem a lost part of our mafia family. The only issue is, the only way to fix it, is to do something I swore I'd never do again. An arranged marriage. Only this time. I won't fall. Or so help me God, I will kill her myself. My name is Sergio Abandonoto, you think you know my pain, my suffering, my anger, my hate? You have no idea. I am the mafia. I am the darkness. Blood in. No out.

The loving couple in the rain

Sergio looked ready to strangle me. “No. I don’t believe I asked for an annoying little sister, but if that’s what you’re offering, please don’t let me stop you. Just know, I won’t hesitate to put you over my knee if you get out of hand.” The minute the words left his mouth. I froze. He froze. The taxi driver stared little laser like holes into the rearview mirror. And Sergio leaned toward me. I swallowed as tension swirled around us. He gripped me by the chin and turned my head to the side, his lips brushing my ear. “It’s like you have a death wish.” “You wouldn’t do it.” He pulled back as both of his eyebrows shot up, and then he looked down, like he had spotted something. I followed the direction of his gaze and let out a little gasp as a gun dug into my stomach. “It’s been directed at you for the last four minutes,” Sergio said through a practiced smile. “I meant what I said. Listen well. I keep my word. Kiss me, and blood will be spilled.” “Y-you’re a crazy person!” I hissed, shoving at his chest. “And I wasn’t going to kiss you!” “Sure you weren’t.” He put the gun away. “Good talk though, right? Oh look, the movie theater.” To say that I scrambled out of the car like a kid running away from her kidnapper would be a gross understatement, but the minute my feet hit the pavement, I paused. My body told me to run. The guy had pulled a gun. On me. I didn’t even watch violent movies.

Get the beginning of Sergio's story in Elude

Twenty-Four hours before were were to be married--I offered to shoot her. Ten hours before our wedding--I made a mockery of her dying wish. Five hours before we were going to say our vows--I promised I'd never love her. One hour before I said I do--I vowed I'd never shed a tear over her death. But the minute we were pronounced man and wife--I knew. I'd only use my gun to protect her. I'd give my life for hers. I'd cry. And I would, most definitely, lose my heart, to a dying girl--a girl who by all accounts should have never been mine in the first place. I always believed the mafia would be my end game--where I'd lose my heart, while it claimed my soul. I could have never imagined. It would be my redemption. Or the beginning of something beautiful. The beginning of her. The end of us.

Blog Tour: Haunt by JC Emery

***Okay there are a lot of goodies in this post so  make sure to read until the end!!!!***

haunt 0 days

Kings rule men. Queens rule kings.

Haunt cover Ebook FinalWyatt Strand is a hard man. He has hard features, speaks with harsh words, and has a hardened heart. Having served the Forsaken Motorcycle Club as Vice President, Wyatt is used to taking responsibility for his brothers, but when he’s handed the gavel everything changes. His brothers are now his men and the threat from the Italian mafia still looms in the distance. A president needs focus, but that’s nearly impossible when his old lady blows back into town and drops two very large bombshells on him.

Amber Wallace is a tough woman, but an even fiercer mother. She once told a lie to protect her unborn child that tore her away from the man she loves. And now, years later, she’s coming home to make amends. Wyatt’s changed, but the club hasn’t. Women are to be obedient. Unfortunately for Forsaken, Amber’s not about to let a few rules stop her from living the life she always imagined.

The Forsaken Motorcycle Club started a war with the Italian mafia and they’ve paid dearly for that choice. With a new president at the helm, the wheels are finally in motion to take down Mancuso once and for all. Even if it means taking the fight back to where it began.

Love is never more beautiful than when it consumes you.

“You told our son that we’re sleeping in the same bed,” I say accusingly. “We are.” His voice is low, his breath heating my skin. I breathe him in only to wish I hadn’t. He smells like burgers and root beer—because that’s what he had with dinner, a freaking root beer—but underneath all of that is his spicy scent that can’t be from a soap or shampoo. It’s just Wyatt. I’ve missed it so much that at times it felt like I was suffocating without it. Like, if I couldn’t remember how he smells I’d just waste away to nothing right then and there. It never happened. God was never that generous, but it felt real enough that it could be a serious possibility at the time. Wyatt slides his hand down from my jaw to my chest, laying his palm flat against my heart. His eyes fall closed and I swear, I think I’m watching him listen to my heartbeat. It’s crazy fast now with the way he’s touching me. His calloused fingers press so gently but determinedly against my bare skin. The scoop neck I’m wearing used to have a higher neckline before my kid make it her personal mission to work out by yanking on my clothes all the time. Now though, I’m grateful for Piper’s annoying yanking on clothes because I can’t imagine having his hand over a thin layer of cotton. “I love you, you stupid woman,” Wyatt says softly. His eyes are still closed, prompting mine to shutter closed as well. I breathe him in and keep quiet. I shouldn’t give in to this, but I’m a selfish creature. I want my man back if even for a night. Wyatt presses his lips softly against mine. I move into him, but still he doesn’t remove his hand from my heart. Our kiss is soft and full of promise and hope and it absolutely slays me. Hope is the death of all things. “If you were done with me, with us, I’d know. Your heart wouldn’t be beating this hard. But it is. I’m a part of you, even if you don’t want me to be. So yeah, we sleep in the same bed.”

Okay so before I get into my review I have some awesomeness from the author to share with you guys. I  was able to get a dream cast from the wonderful  JC Emery as well as a top ten list interview with one of our main characters Wyatt and a little something extra with a behind the scenes with our fabulous author. I'm so excited about this tour and this book and for you guys because JC is just  pure awesomesauce!!!!

Up first is our dream cast.

Clive Standen (Rollo, Vikings) as Wyatt Strand (but he’d need to bulk up a little!)

Caterina Scorsone (Amelia Shephard, Grey’s Anatomy) as Amber Wallace

Dylan Sprayberry (Liam Dunbar, Teen Wolf) as Zander Strand

Wyatt’s Top Ten Interview

Wyatt: I ain’t doing this shit.
JC: Yeah, you are.
Wyatt: You need to listen, woman.
JC: *glares* I wrote you and I can easily shrink your dick size…
Wyatt: Only reason I’m doing this is so bitches will love me more than they did before.
JC: I don’t care why you do it. Just do it. Best thing to ever happen to you?
Wyatt: Fine. Number one best thing that ever happened to me? That’s tough, but my woman wins every time. Amber.
JC: That answer should’ve been me since you didn’t exist before I came along… but what would be your second choice?
Wyatt: *shrugs* I’m torn between my kids and my mom. Those kids are my fucking world, but I wouldn’t be here if my mom hadn’t taken me home with her, right? So I don’t know. Feel like I always forget my mom. She should be in there somewhere, I guess. Next question.
JC: Peanut butter or chocolate?
Wyatt: *smirks* Both. Swirled.
JC: Favorite movie?
Wyatt: Point Break. But you made me say that in the book because it’s your favorite. Mine is Heat.
JC: No, yours is Point Break.
Wyatt: You gonna bitch or ask the questions? You got six more.
JC: Favorite smell?
Wyatt: Amber’s pussy.
JC: *cringes* Not the time, homeboy. Not the time. Anyway. Favorite food?
Wyatt: My woman.
JC: Food, dude. I said food.
Wyatt: Fine. Steak.
JC: Favorite memory?
Wyatt: I got two. First time my kids called me dad.
JC: Favorite brother?
Wyatt: I ain’t answering that shit. Each one of those bastards holds a special place for me.
JC: Favorite scene in your book?
Wyatt: The dirtiest one. *wiggles brows*
JC: What do you most look forward to in Cease?
Wyatt: My brothers, our families, our fucking town getting some peace. You’re going to give us easy after the last two years and nine volumes, right? You’ll end it on a positive note, yeah?
JC: I’m not telling your chatty ass that. What else do you look forward to?
Wyatt: Jim and Ruby have always been Pops and Ma to me. I patched in after they hooked up, so I want to see how they got together.
JC: You mean how they fell in love…?
Wyatt: Don’t make it into something it’s not, smart ass.
JC: Anything else you want to share with your readers?
Wyatt: I’m not an asshole, this bitch just writes me that way. *glares at JC*
JC: *smirks*

Behind the Scenes with JC

You might remember this at the tail end of an early chapter of Haunt (Bayonet Scars, No. 6):
“My eyes fall on some weird carving pattern on the back of the door. It looks like a tally and there must be a couple hundred little marks, if not more. Women. I bet he’s tallied the number of women he’s fucked in my goddamn bed. All the sorrow and guilt and frustration hardens into an icy cold rage.
I don’t see anything else anymore.
I don’t feel anything else anymore.
I just hate.”
The scene takes place in Wyatt’s bedroom in the clubhouse. Amber is handcuffed to the bed (and the reason might surprise you!). She is angry and tired and bored and then she sees those marks. She incorrectly assumes they’re scratched into the door to represent the number of women Wyatt’s slept with over the years—the hundreds of little scratches that mar the door fuel Amber’s anger for the upcoming scene.
But she’s wrong.
I tried to work it into the scene after this, and every scene after that, but it never felt natural. So, eventually I let it go. The natural flow of the story is more important to me than revealing every tiny tidbit. So I’ll tell you now—those marks are not women but days. Wyatt is a recovering addict. Staying clean (if not totally sober) is a challenge with the lifestyle he leads, but he’s managed to stay away from the hard drugs for a couple of years now. And those marks? They represent every time Wyatt thought about Amber and everything he lost and he wanted to get high to numb the pain, but instead, he stayed clean. If you have any experience with addiction, you know that certain memories or people can be triggers for addicts. Amber (or rather, losing her) used to be his trigger. His memories of before he got clean and stayed clean are fuzzy, but those marks are a very clear visual reminder of what he’s staying clean for—first himself so he can have the good things in life, and secondly, so maybe one day he can earn Amber back.
In my mind, he tells her this at some point in the future when they’re in his room and she mentions the marks. It’d be a great scene, but it just didn’t fit in the book.
xx JC

Meagan's Review:

First let me say that this book could have sucked and I'd still promote it and give it a great reating because JC is an amazing author. Her sense of humor and opening up for my particular post lets me in about the  kind of woman and author she is and on that alone I give her mad props. Now with that aside this book was good. I loved getting to know Wyatt on better terms as well as Amber. Overall, this book wasn't what I expected especially reading about the history of these two. I think this is one of the harder reviews I've  had to do because I don't want to give ANYTHING away. What I can say is that Amber isn't given a choice and she has to tell Wyatt that he has a son, Zander. However, we also learn t hat Wyatt also has a daughter with Amber too. At first I was kind of like....really? Okay maybe he may not know about Zander, but a second child years later.....come on no guy is that stupid. But anyways Amber is back to tell Wyatt about his children, because they need him in their lives. This interaction goes a lot better than I thought it would be and I was very surprised by what comes out of this going forward, But the other thing I really like about this book is that it is still carrying forward the other couples from previous books in this series and we are still doing a countdown for the final show down with the mob. A lot of memories are brought out and truth's are told. This book brings a lot of things up and brings some stuff down as well. I know my review isn't very helpful and I'm so sorry for that I just don't want to give anything away because it is worth reading first hand. This book is great and a real eye opener and so worth the time. So make sure to go grab your copy of it if you haven't already.

Blog Tour: Bound by Jennifer Foor

How many times can someone be forgiven? How long does it take for a man to change?
What if the person you're married to isn't who you're in love with anymore?
What if infidelities have caused a person to lose trust and hope in their relationship?

I don't recognize the woman I've become.
I'm bored. Lonely. Unsatisfied. Weak.
It's crippling me.

After seven years of marriage I'm throwing in the towel and starting over.

Bennington Winthrop is my boss. He's made it clear he wants me. When I think my life can't get more complicated I become involved in a sexual relationship that both terrifies and excites me. I can't resist the pleasure, or the pain he gives me. I need to feel something again, even if I get lost along the way.

I have to decide if his lifestyle is the change I'm looking for or something I need to run from and never look back.

I'm Macy Stone, and this is how I let go of the woman I used to be in order to discover hidden desires I never knew could exist. My only obstacle now is coming to terms with the consequences, and being able to accept who I've become.

About the Author:

She is married with She's best known for the Mitchell Family Series, which includes ten books.two children and spends most of her time behind a keyboard, writing stories that come from her heart.

Our legal team was spending countless hours gathering as much evidence to ensure a win. It was also the same day I’d gotten the bad news about my inability to conceive a child. I was out of sorts, unable to stay focused with such a burden on my mind. Ben was the first to notice, and suggested I head into my office and take a break for a little while. It wasn’t uncommon for my associates to stay overnight during this process; so most of us had at least a couch in our office for such times. I knew I’d be of little help to them in my current state, but I wasn’t prepared to go home and tell Frank the terrible devastating news. I’d only been asleep for a few hours when I woke to the sound of a loud bang. I sat up and looked around my dark office to find I was still alone. I got up and first peeked down the hallway to discover it was also dark and vacant.

I followed the sounds of muffled voices until I came to Ben’s office. We all had windows with mini-blinds on them, which most of us kept closed for privacy. At the same time I reached for the handle to open his door, I watched something crash into the metal blinds. It was definitely a body, and once I came to my senses I realized it wasn’t in violence. I heard laughing before backing away from the door. Next came the sounds of two people in the act of fornicating.

I’m in such shock I’m unable to move. My body remains in the same position as I listen in amazement. That’s when I get my first inclination that this isn’t a one on one encounter. I hear another man’s voice and then a higher pitched female. The men are talking to one another about switching. This heightens my interest, and as I loom in to peer through a small wedge of window blind, I’m struck with awe over what I find.

A brunette female dressed in full leather stands in the corner. Her breasts are busting out of the top of the corset. She has a camera in her hand and keeps her eyes fixed on Ben and the blonde. A petite redhead pulls another male close to them and begins making out with him only to shove him away. I place my hand over my mouth as I continue to stare through the tiny fold. This has to be a dream, I tell myself. There is no way my boss would be involved in such mischief at the office. He’s not this kind of man. He wouldn’t dare do this.

But as much as I want to believe it’s not real, I know I can’t deny what is unfolding in front of me.
The woman in the leather tells them to switch and both men stand at attention. I watch as they fall to their knees and await her to approach. She takes one of her feet and shoves Ben down on his back before proceeding to sit on his face. Then she pulls the blonde he was banging closer in order to taste her.

I have to turn away. I feel hot and bothered, but also wretched and ashamed. This is inappropriate. I’ve been married long enough to know this is something I’d never partake in. Foursomes. Orgies. Seeing this unfold was enough to make me question looking for a new job.

I called out sick that next morning to see if I could shake the uncomfortable feelings enough to be able to face him in the office.

The following day he stopped me in the parking lot before I could rush in and hide behind piles of paperwork. He was calm and collected, making me feel as if he had no clue what I’d witnessed, up until he spoke.

“Did you like what you saw the other night? For someone who claims to be straight and narrow I got the inclination you wished you could join us.”

I shake my head and begin to walk away, as if I can distance us enough to halt the conversation. “I have no idea what you’re talking about, Ben.”

He hasn’t followed me, but as I turn to double check I see him standing tall with his hands in his pockets. The grin on his face says it all. “I like when people watch, Mrs. Stone, especially the ones who claim to be off limits.”

I have no idea what makes me spin around and rush toward him. “How dare you imply that I was anything but disgusted? You’re sick!”

“You’re in denial.”

For a moment we stare into each other’s eyes. He’s focused and relaxed, while I’m shaking so badly I know he can see. “I’m going to pretend this conversation never happened, because as far as I’m concerned I want it wiped from my memory. Do us both a favor and give up. I’m happily married, Ben. I’m not interested in fooling around with my associate.”

“You know where to find me when you change your mind, and trust me, Macy, you will.”

Meagan's  Review:

Okay so I  must admit that  when  I started reading this book I  had  no idea what it was about. I remember at some point reading the  blurb, but I was really just looking at the cover and knew that I wanted to read this book. So when I  started I wasn't really sure what I was in for, but  I can say I was not disappointed. This book had a lot  of eye opening amazing moments in it for women in general as well as for the characters. Our main character Macy is divorcing her husband of quite a few years for several reasons, but most amazenly not because he cheated on her. Now she is trying to find her "self" again and her boss Ben seems to think that he is the one who is going to be able to help her find herself. He is going to help her gain confidence and independence and have her join his "lifestyle". He's also been  chasing  her for years, even when she was married, and once you find out the lengths he has gone to insert himself into her life and while it's a lot over-the-top it doesn't feel like that when you read this book.

One interesting quote that Ben does give in this book that gives us a glimpse as the type of man  he is. He tells Macy that humans weren't meant to be in monogamous relationships. And this isn't the first time I've heard this. I understand how for some people this works and Ben is one of those people. However, that isn't something for everyone, some people are monogamous people and Macy is one of those people. Talk about opposites attracting. Also Macy kind of hates Ben, yet she has fantasies about him and  Ben..he just wants Macy.

She finally gives in and begins this adventure with Ben. A lot happens.  She explores her sexuality and things she likes and doesn't like. She pushes past boundaries and truly finds herself.  It gets to the point where a few choices come up. What will happen if and when Macy finds out Ben's secrets?  What choice will Macy make when it comes to the lifestyle and eye opening world Ben lays at her feet? Will Macy be a changed woman and have more confidence? What will happen with Ben in all of this?  Will he get the girl? Or will she walk away from him and his lifestyle forever? Make sure to check it out in this book.

Read a sneak peek from WICKED SEXY:

For a moment Connor just examines my face in silence. There’s a strange tension in him, a stillness, like a held breath but in his entire body. Then he abruptly swings around in his seat so he’s facing me, his massive thighs on either side of my bar stool, his booted feet planted on the floor. Trapping me. “What do you think you’re doing?” I ask, my voice high with panic. “Got something to say to you. It’s important, so don’t talk until the end.” He looks dangerously intense. His dark eyes are heated, drilling into mine. His cheeks are flushed from the fire, or from something else, but I don’t have time to think about what that something else might be because he opens his mouth and starts to speak, and my brain faints dead away, leaving me to fend for myself. “I want you. Bad. Don’t know exactly why, you’re a complete pain in my ass and pretty much the most contrary, foul-tempered woman I’ve ever met, and you’ve made it really clear what you think about me, but every time I look at you I have an almost overpowering urge to touch you, kiss you, do a lot of bad things to you, and I don’t know how to manage it. Yeah, it might be more prudent for me to keep this shit to myself, but I know that when you don’t talk about shit it festers, gets worse, and if the way I feel about you gets any worse I won’t be able to put my goddamn shoes on in the morning. So I’m putting it out there.” He takes a breath. Deeply shocked, I stare at him with my mouth open, my heart up in my throat. “We’re both professionals. We have a job to do. And I don’t mix business with pleasure. Ever. But the way I figure it, we’ve got one more night until the work actually starts, and if I don’t do something to get you straight in my head I won’t be able to do the job at all.” He stops abruptly. Then he waits, watching me with unwavering intensity as I attempt to digest what just happened. I whisper in disbelief, “You’re propositioning me?” His gaze drops to my lips. When he looks back into my eyes, his own are burning. “You liked that kiss.” He gives me time to deny it, but I don’t. How could I? We both know I’d be lying. He adds, “And you called me hot, so I know you don’t think I’m a complete troll, even though you act like you do.” “That was an accident.” “Yep.” He nods. “And you fuckin’ hated yourself for it. Which is why I know it was true.” Things are happening in my body. My nipples harden, my breath quickens, there is a distinctive throb and ache between my legs. All because this jarhead I hate just told me he wants to do bad things to me. Bad things. Dear God, were any two sexier words ever spoken?
