Spotlight: Bittersweet Magic by Nina Croft

Blurb:

Roz has been indebted to the demon Asmodai for five hundred years, and her freedom is just around the corner. All she has to do is complete one last task for him—obtain a key that had been hidden in a church centuries ago.

Piers, the Head of the Order and an ancient vampire, is intrigued by the woman who comes to him for help. She’s beautiful and seemingly kind, but she’s hiding something. And he’ll find out who she is and what she really wants once he uses his power to get inside her head. But Piers has no idea that Roz is immune to his mind-control...or that he is simply a pawn in her dangerous mission for freedom.

Meagan's Review:

I'm not even sure where to start this review.....other than this book was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!! Ahhh and I'm pretty excited about my raiting because it's only the second one I've given, but it was well deserved. Okay so this book starts with Roz doing work for a demon. She made a deal 500 years ago and she just has one more task to do and she will be free. YEY!!! However, dressing as a nun and trying to obtain something that is stolen by other demons and failing in her task....is probably not the best way to go. However, through circumstances Roz ends up meeting a man/Vampire named Piers, who happens to be Head of the Order, and Order that Roz was taught to fear. First let me say....can I get a Piers please?? Anyone? Hello? No one? ....ugg fine. lol Let me just say how much I truly love him and his character and I think I might have found book boyfriend #6.

Piers can sense and smell that there is more to Roz than meets the eye. And beyond that Piers is really taken in by Roz even though they have a few....rough patches. And that's putting it mildly. Anyways as the story progresses we learn that Roz will sometimes help out with the police department and that kind of bites her in the butt. Beyond all this there is Piers' ex. And she stirs up a lot of conflict and drama and  the way Piers handles it...pure AMAZINGNESS!!!! Ifi I wasn't already in love with hiim that would seal it. Don't get me wrong...Piers is not by any means a saint, but you can still see that good guy side come out in him.

In this book you have your choice of pretty much all the different races like usual....however, I couldn't figure out what Roz was untiul right before she showed her true self. AND OMG she is amazing and there are not even enough words to desribe it. This is the biggest reason for my rarting because when I found out I just didn't see that coming.

There's so many quesitons and answers in this book and it doesn't leave you hanging. This book gives you anything and everything you could ever want in a book. It is just pure brillance and I loved every moment from the first page. The characters were well written as well as the plot line for this book. I highly highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone. Will they save the world in time? You'll have to read to find out.
