James Steele leads a complicated life, a life that makes it hard to get close to people. James’ secrets caused him to lose the woman of his dreams, Sasha Crawford. James has now moved on with Tatiana, a lovely woman whom he works with, someone who understands his reasons for secrecy. When Sasha comes back into the picture James will have to make a decision. Will he stay with Tatiana, a woman he has grown to care for? Or step up with explanations for Sasha, the woman he can’t seem to stop wanting?
Sasha, a foolish romantic, had thought she had found the love of her life in the sexy James Steele. That was, until she saw him in the arms of another woman. Heartbroken and betrayed, Sasha now had a new take on romance, using dating and men as a way to get over the pain of losing James. When their paths cross again and James now has a new woman, how will she react? Will she let go of all the hurt and anger, and move on? Demand answers? Or lay her cards down, and fight to win back the man that was once her everything?

Meagan's Review:
Okay so now onto my review. I truly enjoyed and loved this book. I wasn't sure what I would be getting when I read the blurb, but I was pleasantly surprised. This is a great book to read on the weekend, curling up on the couch (a little hot right now, but it could be by a fire).
So the story starts off with James going up into the house of Danielle's. It should be mentioned that Danielle is not James' girlfriend. And ohhh who happens to be in the area at that time, none other than James' girlfriend Sasha. She calls him out and instead of explaining the situation he basically tells her she is no one and to go home and he'll "explain things" later. Really? In what world does a man think that if his girlfriend catches him with his arms around another woman, going into her house, while saying he is at work, and not explaining anything, but saying that she is a no one, is going to go home and wait for her explanation??? Hmmm???? Anybody....ohh yeah NO. So anyways Sasha walks away from James that night and for the next few years.
We move into the present and Sasha has an adorable little boy who apparently is a spitting image of his father. Sasha and her son Jye have been living with her cousin the last year and a half and even her parents have yet to meet Jye. So after all this time Sasha feels she needs to head back home and tell the father of her son that ohh yeah byyyyy the way we had sex on that one night and I got pregnant and left and raised our son for the last year and a half, but YEY you're a father!!! However, I will give some credit because Sasha did try and call home to get in touch with the father and he never tried to call her back. Ohhh and if you hadn't guessed it yet James is the baby daddy.
While Sasha is off raising her son, James tries to move on from the love of his life. He ends up dating a girl named Titania who he also works with. Which let me tell you I'm still curious about what it is that James does. I had my suspicions in the beginning, but it wasn't until the end of the book that we actually find out what he does and I was actually surprised. Okay so while James is "dating" Titania she wants a committed relationship and James doesn't because his heart still belongs to Sasha.
So Sasha gets settled into an apartment and gets Jye comfortable and taken care of and ohh there's a knock on the door and James is there and Sasha tells him that he has a son....in not so many words. I wasn't sure what to expect for his reaction, but I was very happy with his reaction. James is a one of a kind man and you can't help but love his character.
As time continues James makes sure to be there for Jye, however, his job seems to get in the way. Ohhh and stupid Titania is constantly in the way. Stupid cow can 't take a hint. As James and Sasha try to find common ground to raise their son a lot of different things happen. James still loves her and she still has feelings for him, which makes everything even more interesting. Then as everything seems to fall into place a plot twist comes and uggg stupid stupid James. I could smack him and I'm actually pretty sure Sasha does. See this is why open communication is extremely important. These two have way to many secrets that they don't know about each other that keep coming out of the woodwork like no bodies business.
As a side note can I say how much I love both of the families. James has two brothers who crack me up, I love them both for different reasons. And then Sasha's family (full of cousins) are AMAZING and make me so jealous because I want to be apart of their family. They all play important roles in this book and it just wouldn't be the same without them.
So many questions need to be answered with the front of those questions being what will happen between James and Sasha? Will they find a way to finally be together? Is Sasha going to jail for beating up a stupid cop who can't take a hint? Will James' secrets be too much for Sasha to give him another chance? Well you'll have to pick up your copy to find out and see how this book ends. And I also have a guess for the epilogue but for right now I'm keeping it to myself excitedly waiting for the next book in this series. Make sure to leave a comment with your thoughts.
