Blurb:

Isis can control her dreams. Or she could—until recently. The creature in her nightmares has been haunting her for months. As if being dumped wasn’t bad enough, now she dreads going to sleep. She decides to confront the creature and win back some of her peace; only, she finds that he’s not a monster and he’s not a dream.

A sacrifice for love, a shocking discovery and a jealous ex-boyfriend blur the lines between reality and dreams, making it hard to tell who the real monsters are.

Who would've known…that sometimes love is lethal?

Meagan's Review:

Now onto my favorite part; my review. First let me tell you...I loved every single moment of this book. I fell in love with all of the characters and found myself day dreaming about being a part of their world. However, I will say that even though I loved Isis and David neither one of them was my favorite character. Nope for me the guy that stole my heart was.....wait for it....Galen. But there will be more on that later.

So the story starts of with Isis writing in her journal about her dreams; how he watches her, and haunts her and has turned her dreams into nightmares. To the point that for 3 months she isn't sleeping more than 2 or 3 hours a night and it's starting to show. Eventually, Isis works the nerve up to confront her boogeyman in her dreams and she finds out that instead of some beast who growls at her, he is a man who is as beautiful as a god would be. He tells her, " I'm your dream weaver, my lovely. Something you are ignorant of in your reality."

As they continue talking we find out that the beautiful man's name is David. Isis believes he isn't real because its her dreams, but David quickly disagrees with her and tells her he's very real.  "You can't intimidate me," I said. "I know you're not real. Look at you, all gold and feathery and...whatever." So they wager a little bet. But before we find out about the bet, David tells Isis, "You're the only human to ever enter Somnium. The Gods would have your head and mine, as well, if they knew you were here." This has me interested because Isis may not be fully human.

The next day at school Isis is going along and a new students starts and she's asked to show him around. I find this whole scene funny because Isis is so oblivious to who he is. It isn't until he tells her that he wins by proving he's real that she puts everything together.

From here we learn a lot about David and his history. We learn about the gods, deities,  Creatura and immortals. I was sucked right in and loved every moment of it. But anyways back to David and Isis. So Davis very old school and one of the things that stands out was his front passenger door. "You need to get this door fixed," I said, waiting for David to open my door. "It's not broken, my lovely." "Then why won't it open?" "To keep the princess form opening the door herself." He put the child lock on.

Eventually, we meet David's family. His mother Nyx and his twin brothers; Eryx and Galen. Now Nyx is very nice to Isis and she doesn't do anything to her, I just have some mixed emotions where she is concerned. I love Eryx, but it's Galen who holds my heart. He is describe to look like a warrior and yet I bet when he wants he has a soft side to him. And he makes me laugh. Here is just one of the many times I found myself laughing with Galen. "Brother," Galen said. "If you feed the cats, they'll keep coming back. Please. I beg you. Stop." Just talking about a random girl. But at the same time when it comes to his family and those he cares about you know that worrier side of him comes out and he'd fight till his dying breath.

But as the story continues some drama happens when Isis ex come back trying to get her back, after he went away to college and broke up with her over a text. And he doesn't look well or act normal. His story has an interesting turn out. We also find out that Isis' mother has a few secrets of her own and one in particular that affects Isis.

Most questions get answered in this book with a few new ones. However I will tell you that I did not see the huge cliff hanger coming at the end. Just reading along and "Oh.....ummm.....that's probably not good. Uhhhh....okay. Wait what? OMG did that just happen?" And then the end. lol

Overall amazing book and I cannot wait for the next one....I need to know what is going to happen. So make sure to go get your copy and leave comments with your thoughts.
