Blurb:
If you could do it all over again,
would you still choose him? At
age thirty-nine, Lucie Walker has no choice but to start her life over when she
comes to, up to her knees in the chilly San Francisco Bay, with no idea how she
got there or who she is. Her memory loss is caused by an emotional trauma she
knows nothing about, and only when handsome, quiet Grady Goodall arrives at the
hospital does she learn she has a home, a career, and a wedding just two months
away. What went wrong? Grady seems to care for her, but Lucie is no more sure
of him than she is of anything. As she collects the clues of her past self, she
unlocks the mystery of what happened to her. The painful secrets she uncovers
could hold the key to her future—if she trusts her heart enough to guide her.

Okay so when I read the blurb about this book it reminded me of a movie from back in the day called Overboard. Girl comes out of water and can't remember who she is, but her memory loss self is nicer and everything that the old self isn't. Now with that being said this book also kind of reminded me of the Vow too....but I loved both Overboard and the Vow so I was super excited about this book. And I feel that Jennie did a great job. This book didn't blow me away, but from reading that first page I was hooked until the end. It keeps the reader interested to find out what happened. You go through the emotions as if it was you that lost your memory and you're on the road to find the answers. I know there were some interesting reviews with this book and a lot of mixed emotions, but I really enjoyed this book. This book was like a real second chance at life....not just a movie they made up where ghosts come to help the people along to change their lives.
So while on this Lucie's fiance comes out to get her when he sees the news broadcast. When he takes her home and she finds out that she's supposed to be getting married soon and the kind of person she was is interesting. What I found even more interesting is that her fiance, Grady, can't really help her out because there is so much that he doesn't know about her past. Which okay really you were planning on marrying this person and you were okay that she wasn't telling you things??? And another thing, Lucie was super high maintenance and everything and he loved her. Is he going to love the new Lucie? And everything has been hard on Grady too because we find out that it was a fight between these two that caused her to leave and then somehow fall into the water.
I really liked this book. I was dying to know the outcome of everything. Would she get her memory back? Would she change once she did? Would her and Grady find a way to still be together and in love? What really happened the night she lost her memory? So many questions. My biggest complaint is that I just wanted more of the story because I was so into it that I just wanted more. But I think it was well written and it wasn't your usual everyday love or story line, which made me love it even more. I would definitely recommend this book to others.
