Meagan's Review:

Okay so I love the blurb for this because the last thing it says is, "The only thing he absolutely cannot let himself do is fall in love with her . . ." ha like that's not going to happen. Little things like this make me smile because I get a basic idea of what to expect and sometimes out lout I'll be like "HA! How's not falling in love with her going??? Huh? Huh?" lol and then most always my next moment is an awww one. But I really did enjoy this book and it kept me interested until the end to see what would happen.

It's amazing the things fate throws at us and in the heat of the moment one wrong move could change everything, or one right move could change everything. Our story starts out with Arissa walking into an alley and she sees a guy about to shoot another guy (a.k.a. Jolar) and instead of letting the current path fate is on she interjects and saves his life, and in the process alters her life. Arissa is an interesting character and watching her from the start of this book to the end was a completely amazing change. Along with that Arissa is a telepath, which can come in handy every now and then.

Funny enough Jolar (a military man) lives up to his image. He feels it is his duty to help Arissa and what starts out as simple and uncomplicated, changes to that thing he said he'd never do....fall in love with her. And while on their travel to find out who is threatening the Tellaran Realm a lot happens to push them together. There is a tone of twists and turns and deceit and of course love. This book is a great read and something I would recommend. I can't wait to see what fate has in store for Jolar and Arissa next.

Meagan's Review:

Okay so I really liked this book. I think almost everyone can relate to this book in the sense that we've all had one of those friends who we've wanted something more with, even for just one night and for once a heated argument turns into something steamy and hawt and awesomesauce.

So out story is about Melanie and Colton who have been friends for years and of course the "other" attraction is there. (Always the best kind come from friends).  Melanie has a lot going on in her life at the present time and lots of stress in trying to save her ranch and of course she has a huge deep dark secret. And of course Colton wants to help Melanie and everything, however, he doesn't want to ruin their friendship or be in a relationship that has complications per say. So of course Melanie and Colton really aren't in the right situation to be shacking up and everything, but the more you fight something the more you have that pull toward it.

The book follows their amazing hawt steamy chemistry and whether friends can really be friends with benefits or will it only cause more complications. I also found myself laughing a few scenes in this book and I truly enjoyed reading something from Rebecca. This was a good read and something I would def recommend.

Meagan's Review:

Epppp I loved this book!!!! I cannot say enough GREAT things about this book and the amazing D.C. Gambel. I am a huge huge huge fan of hers now. This is def one of those books that when you pick it up and you start reading you can't seem to put it down, because you have to know what is going to happen next. This book reminded me a lot of Blood and Chocolate, which I fell in love with as a kid.

Our story is about Gabriella, who is a half human half vampire girl. Her uniqueness let's her walk in sunlight (and not sparkle or burn or anything). Then whilest Gabriella is out and about she runs into Grayson. And let me tell you Grayson buts the H in HAWT. However, there's a catch (because there is always a catch) he's human and being with a human is off limits. Ohh and if that wasn't a complication enough we have to worry about Anton, who is kinda like the leader of her nest/pack and of course he wants Gabriella to himself.

From Grasyson's point of view the day he ran into Gabriella his life changed forever. He's so enthralled by her and intrigued that he wants to get to know her better. And as Grayson and Gabriella travel down a slippery and forbidden love slope they get caught up in a lot of things. And if fighting for love wasn't enough she has to fight for her freedom and her passions too. There was a slight twist at the end when we find out more about Gabriella and I'm dying to know how that plays out. Will she choose and fight for Grayson and love or will she end up with Anton? Will she end up with no one but pure freedom?  So many questions that keep you giong till the end and even then it's not really the end. I highly highly recommend this book and can't wait to see what comes next!!!

Cover Reveal: Rev by JC Emery

We met him in Ride as the no-nonsense Sergeant-at-Arms of the Forsaken Motorcycle Club who disapproved of Ryan's choice to be with Alex, and again in Thrash as a man who few dare to challenge. Now, get to know Grady in his own words as he struggles to keep his club and his personal life from falling apart before his very eyes.

Rev will be released on May 8th

Synopsis:

Everyone belongs somewhere. Even the misfits.

With the looming threat from the Mancuso Crime Family, the Forsaken Motorcycle Club is preparing for a war that could destroy them. Grady, the club’s Sergeant-at-Arms, knows that love makes you weak, and he has zero interest in adding to his liabilities-- especially now. He's already got his teenage daughter who keeps him on his toes and a beef within the club that could fracture his relationship with a fellow brother for good.

For Holly Mercer, her life is finally getting on track and the last thing she wants is trouble from her hometown’s resident outlaws. Keeping her nose clean is easier said than done, when suddenly she finds herself embroiled in club business. Holly might like the idea of being with a real-life bad boy, but even being in the same room with tough-as-nails Grady flusters her.

Ride

Death comes in Armani. Salvation comes in leather.

Principessa to the Mancuso crime family, Alexandra knows a thing or two about living outside the bounds of the law. Suffocated by the future her father has laid out for her, she makes a choice she can't take back, changing the entire trajectory of her life.

Thrust into the dark and dangerous world of the Forsaken Motorcycle Club for her own protection, Alex finds herself faced with the last thing she needs right now: the man of her dreams. He’s sex in leather, the devil incarnate, and one hell of a kisser. But he’s also off-limits. Ryan Stone can be her friend, but he’s forbidden to be her lover.

Third-generation Forsaken, Ryan knows nothing other than life on two wheels, and he wouldn’t have it any other way. He enjoys the many privileges that come with the patch, and the only laws he recognizes are the ones set-forth by his club. That is, until who he wants more than anything isn’t allowed on the back of his bike —or in his bed. Balancing his desire for her body, and need to keep her safe, Ryan tries to keep Alex at a distance. Finally having made a choice for herself, she’s done hearing the word “no” and will push boundaries even Ryan himself doesn’t dare cross.

Love is never more tempting than when it’s forbidden.

THRASH

Loneliness suffocates the heart. Acceptance breaks down walls.

As a Lost Girl to the Forsaken Motorcycle Club, Nicole Whelan knows how to party. She’s not cut-out for relationships and her life is way too complicated for anything more than casual encounters. But one night when she falls into Duke’s bed at the clubhouse, he sees something in her that he can’t let go of—no matter how many times she tries to run.

Having been left to raise her teenage brother, Jeremy, she’s already got her hands full and isn’t looking for anymore complications. But Duke’s just watched his best friend fall for the only girl he couldn’t have, and then almost lose her so shortly after, shaking him to his core. Faced with his own loneliness, he’s more determined than ever to break down Nic’s walls and show her that he can be good for her; but he’s got a bad track record and she’s got a bad temper. Changing his ways isn’t easy when he’s not sure what he’s even changing for.

The violence and turmoil are at an all-time high, and Forsaken is in a vulnerable place when a twist of fate breathes new life into the club. It’s a much-needed beacon of hope for the embattled biker family, even if everyone’s not exactly on board. With Duke and Nic’s relationship already on shaky ground, and something even more important at stake, the Forsaken Motorcycle Club will fight like hell to keep their family together and whole.

Love is never more precious than when it’s new.

Spotlight: Ripe for Trouble by Autumn Piper

Blurb:

The biggest mistake she didn’t quite make just sauntered back into her life.

When Ivy Leeds takes a publicity job in her hometown, few things have changed…but Ridley, the bad boy of her graduating class, has cleaned up his act. Or so everyone else thinks. After hearing him and his friend practicing pickup lines, she has her doubts.

Ridley Tucker can hardly believe his eyes when Ivy, the president of the Brainiac Club, comes back to town. Some things never change—she’ll barely give him the time of day, and she still looks as good as she did that night at Prom.

Living in a small town means avoiding someone is nearly impossible, and those most worthy of avoidance turn up in such awkward places…

Content Warning: High school flame revisited plus reformed bad-boy equals combustion suitable for adults only.

Excerpt:

He felt like a fool, standing in the hallway just past the ladies’ room, but this was one of those desperate times.
She came out right between the songs he’d played. Perfect.
“Ivy.”
She whirled and faced him. And sighed at him like he was a piece of junk mail. “Yes, Ridley?”
He pushed off the wall and moved close to her as Complicated began playing. “Remember this song? When we danced to it?”
She squeezed her eyes shut like her head hurt. A lot. “Yes.”
He moved close enough he could smell her, a bit of melon coming off her hair, and something vanilla. “I remember it too. It was…it was a good dance, right?”
She tried to step back, but he put his arms around her and looked down into those blue, blue eyes. “If you say stop, I will. I promise.” He moved a little with the music and she stiffened. He kept swaying, and pressed closer, the music’s rhythm pulsing in his chest. Like last time, she curved into him, soft and perfect. Jesus, was it possible she felt better in his arms now than she had that night at prom?
He wanted to bury his hands in that big twisty bun, free that miles-long hair, but she’d probably get mad. He moved his hands down and clasped her ass. Damn.
She groaned. “Ridley.” She pulled back and looked up at him. “This is a bad—”
No time to waste. He laid one on her. Hot, hard, and hungry, to let her know how crazy she made him. She tasted like beer, felt like the Fourth of July, all hot and explosive.
She broke the kiss and turned her head to the side, pushing out of his arms. “Stop. God. You taste like straight tequila. You’re drunk, aren’t you?”
He shook his head. No way was he drunk. Completely capable of consent. “No.”
“Gotta appreciate that irony, right?” She stepped back. “Sorry, but ‘I can’t take advantage of you when you’re under the influence.’ Turnabout’s fair play.”
She rushed off as the final strains of their song wound down.

Review: Love and Other Cosmic Nonsense by A.D. Marrow

Blurb:

Breaking it off with her long-time non-magical boyfriend, Evan, was for his own good. At least that's what Maggie Owen tells herself. After all, a witch and a human can have no future together. Her vision told her so. But now it seems the universe is exacting revenge for upsetting the balance of what "should be" and her heart is telling her she was wrong.

Evan Jackson can't believe his bad luck. It's been a year since Maggie broke his heart, and now his business partner has hired her as their new receptionist. Fine, they need the help. But no way will he let her get close again. He can't take another heartbreak from the woman he still dreams about, even if it feels like there's still a magical pull between them.

Being in the same building with Evan is a start, but it's going to take more than Maggie's special talents and a wink to get the hard-hearted bad-boy to see that love is really more than just cosmic nonsense and set the universe back into balance.

About the Author:

A.D Marrow is a a registered Sapiophile, a proud Geek since before Geek was chic and believes that everyone deserves a happily ever after. She lives in the foothills of North Carolina with her ridiculously hot and amazingly supportive husband, three kids that rock so hard there should be a national holiday for their awesomeness, two really stupid dogs and a plethora of Post-it notes with book ideas to last her until she’s 90. Her childhood dream is realized in the fact that YOU have cause to read her bio. She hopes that one day, it lends her enough credibility to live out her second dream, which is to write an episode of Doctor Who.

Her personal mantra echoes that of Morticia Adams; “Normal is an illusion. What is normal for the spider is chaos for the fly.”

Meagan's Review:

Okay so I know I've said this before,  but I'm going to say it again. I LOVE PARANORMAL books!! I feel like a little kid at Christmas when I read them...that's how much joy they bring me. I loved this book!!! Its been awhile since I've read a good witchcraft book, but let me tell you that AD Morrow did not disappoint. I'm a huge fan of her's now because of her amazing writing.

I should also mention that this book is more of a short read and normally I'm highly against these because it's hard for the author to get all the details and storyline and characters developed in a short span and still make it an amazing story. Let me tell you AD Marrow does an amazing job at it. :) Our story is about Maggie and Evan. And knowing Karma can be a real b**ch. So Maggie is a witch and of course she fell in love with Evan....a human. So even though these two fell in love, Maggie broke Evan's heart by breaking up with him for the good of them both. However, fate/karma/the cosmos have another idea in store for these two. A year later Maggie is thrown in Evan's path again and things take an interesting turn.  The other thing I hate about short stories is my reviews have to be short and vague because I don't want to give too much away. Let's just say that the "reunion" between these two is nothing short of funny and awkward and a whole hot mess. This book was fun, sexy, and of course paranormal spice and overall just a great short read to lift your mood. I can't wait to see what's in store next for two characters that were introduced in this book. I would def recommend reading this one!!
