Title: HOT AND BOTHERED Author: Jennifer Bernard Series: Jupiter Point Genre: Contemporary Romance Release: February 13th

Ben, the most romantic of the smoking hot Knight brothers, knew from the moment he met his high school sweetheart, Julie deGaia, that she was the one for him. Marriage, kids…he wanted forever with Julie-until the moment she skipped town without a word. Then Ben's father was murdered, and his life was irrevocably changed. Now, after twelve years, Julie's back. Ben's over her, of course. They're completely different people now. Right. If they're so different, why do his feelings for her seem so damn familiar? And how, after all this time, can she still make Ben so hot and bothered? Julie was never supposed to return to Jupiter Point. It's only by staying away that she's ensured her safety. But she owes a huge debt to the wealthy and demanding Reinhard family, who took her in as a child. What the Reinhards want, they get, so here she is, dodging a handsomer-than-ever Ben Knight. Her former sweetheart has turned into a hunky pilot who aims that sexy smile at everyone except her-until he learns the truth about why she left in the first place. If the past can't keep Ben and Julie apart, a deadly threat in the present might. As for that idyllic future they always dreamed about? It might take some Jupiter Point magic to put this star-crossed couple on the road to happy ever after.

“Bossy. Demanding. I like it.” He pulled the undershirt off, but it snagged on his head, giving her an extra moment to appreciate the full spectacle of his perfectly honed torso. She tried to imagine all the crunches and lifts that must have gone into building musculature like that. Looking closer, she noticed a small tattoo over his heart, but she couldn’t quite make out what it was.
Finally, he got the shirt all the way off, just in time to catch her peering at his naked chest. His gray eyes laughed at her. “I know you think I’m leering at you, and I am,” she admitted. “I’m also trying to figure out what your tattoo is.”
“It’s a mountain and a star. Jupiter Point. I got it overseas, when I was homesick as a baby. I missed everything…my family, you, the fricking Milky Way ice cream shop. The mountain and star kind of summed it all up.”
She traced it, noting the beautiful colors, the deep green of the mountain peaks, the blue of the star. “Right over your heart,” she murmured.
“Yup. I’m a sap. I actually balled the entire time I was getting the tattoo. That way I could blame it on the needle gun.”
She smiled mistily at the image of big strong Ben weeping on the tattoo table. Ben had never been afraid to show emotion, but maybe things were different in the Air Force. “Those needle guns would make anyone cry. Even a tough girl like me.”
His gaze sharpened, and he padded closer to her, until his half naked magnificence was only a step away. “You’re talking personal experience?”
“I am. Want to see?”
“Hell yes.” With greedy eyes, he watched every movement she made. The heat from that look set her on fire. “Let me guess. Lower back?”
“Inner thigh?” he asked hopefully.
“Please don’t say breasts, because that just sounds painful. And your breasts are so perfect and beautiful, I think that would break my heart.”
The worshipful tone of his voice made her lower belly clench. Under his gaze, she couldn’t imagine ever not feeling beautiful. She held her breath as he touched the pad of his index finger to her right nipple. Slowly he circled it, his entire focus arrowing in on her pebbling flesh.
The pleasure was insane. How could such a light touch have such an intense effect? It made no sense. She swayed on her feet, her eyes drifting half-closed as she drank in every pulse of sensation created by his sure finger.
An iron band behind her back stabilized her. Scratch that. It was his arm, the other one, the one that wasn’t attached to the hand currently teasing her nipple until it throbbed. “God, Ben,” she whispered. “I missed this so much.”
“Me too,” he murmured. “Your breasts were my obsession for all of junior year. I don’t know how I’ve managed to live without them.”
She nearly choked on a bubble of laughter. “You’re so ridiculous.”
“I’m serious. And now they’re hiding behind a damn bra. Do you mind?”
She shook her head, relaxing in his arms as he unfastened her bra from behind and slid it off her body. He cupped her breasts in both hands. His exaggerated groan of appreciation made her smile. “They’re just breasts,” she noted.
“Oh no. These are not just breasts. These babies are an important part of my psyche, I’ll have you know.” He filled his hands with her flesh, using his thumbs to elicit more delicious sensations from the tips. “If you knew how many fantasies they starred in. Between your swimsuits and your sports bras and those little belly shirts you used to wear…oh my God. I swear, these boobs are like my long-lost BFFs.”

Meagan's Review:

Okay so this is the first book in the series that I read and while I wished I had read the others before, it truly didn't take away from the story. But worry not because I'll be going back to the books before this because I want a complete picture. Our story is about Ben and Julie and they have a complicated history together. The back story is that Ben and Julie fell hard for each other and they were growing a life together and a young age and then one day Julie up and left with no word, no notice, no nothing and shattered Ben's world and pretty much kind of made him jaded ever since. The flip side of that is that Julie did leave word before she left and when Ben never showed up or contacted her she thought she had her answer and stayed away in LA and began a new life. Now one of the twists in this story is that Julie left town with her best friend when she learned that she was pregnant and didn't want her parents to be apart of her new life. Those people are freakin crazy. And then we learn that Julie got even further busy helping her friend Savannah because baby Felix was a little different and essential has autism. But the past always catches up to people and Julie needed to come home to not only tell her side of the story, but also a secret she's been keeping for a lot of years.

So back in her hometown Ben and Julie try to avoid each other like the plague, but karma has other ideas and all the do is run into each other, and OMG Ben has a big stick stuck up his a$$ the way he acts and scowls and everything. Eventually, Ben and Julie just can't help themselves, unresolved feelings and emotions and feelings come rushing back and because they keep getting thrown together they try to have civilized conversations. Try being the key word. Another piece to the back story is that Ben's father was murdered and Julie may hold a piece of information that could finally lead to the killer. And I have my suspicions about who it may be, from my limited knowledge of the book. But eventually, Ben and Julie learn why they never heard from each other and why Julie left all those years ago and how much Felix means to her and is apart of her life to the point that I really question who's kid he is. What happens when Julie wants to have kids of her own? Felix isn't her's although she does spend a lot of time with him, he has a mother. A lot of good and hard questions come up and while Ben and Julie do get closer other forces try to drive a wedge between them. Will they be able to get over them? Will history repeat itself? Will someone get hurt or even worse die? You'll have to check it out in this amazing book. By the way just a heads up that this does leave you on a bit of a cliff hanger and at first I thought I missed a few pages, but no, no the author just makes us wait for the next one to find out more of the story of Ben's dad's murder. So definitely read this one, and the ones before this, as well as wait to get your hands on the next one. So worth it.
